PhD Nutrition is a premium active-nutrition brand targeting the active lifestyle community; fuelled by science our products help maximise performance, whether this is building strength, getting leaner, or everyday wellness. PhD brand ambassadors include leading strength and endurance athlete Ross Edgley.
The two brands sell through the Company's phd.com and scienceinsport.com digital platforms, third-party online sites, including Amazon, and extensive retail distribution in the UK and internationally.
In 2022 the company opened a state of the art 160,000 square foot manufacturing and logistics facility in Blackburn, Lancashire. Providing a significant advantage in product costs and customer response time. And this allows Science in Sport to have the highest standards of quality.
Science in Sport is Performance Solutions partner to Ineos Grenadiers cycling team, Tottenham Hotspur, New York City and OGC Nice football clubs, in addition to being the Official Nutrition Partner to the Milwaukee Bucks, 2021 National Basketball Association Champions and in 2023, winner of the women’s marathon at the 2022 World Athletics Championships, Gotytom Gebreslase.

Following the establishment of a new leadership team and injection of new capital, SiS are recruiting a Commercial Manager, International Distributors to play a pivotal role executing the international growth strategy. The role will play a key part in the International & Elites team, leading in-market distributors across your defined region. Formulating and delivering sustainable growth plans across your region and working cross-functionally with supply, customer service and brand teams will be key success indicators in this role.

- Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

The work - Your 4 most important responsibilities
- GTM execution - Owning and executing the go-to-market plans in your defined territory.
- Profitable collaboration - Collaborating brilliantly with in-market distribution teams in order to drive profitable growth for both parties.
- Internal ambassador - Representing your markets across the SiS business, providing regular updates to cross-functional teams and articulating clearly how the we win in the region.
- Financial performance - Leading the region’s P&L from forecast through to financial delivery.
Accountability – what you are responsible for delivering
- In line with SIS commercial strategy, leading the creation and execution of ambitious annual business plans in the defined region, optimising sales at every opportunity.
- Delivering the P&L from gross revenue to profit.
- Optimising trade terms with distribution partners, including pricing, investment and payment terms.
- Building accurate, bottom-up forecasts in collaboration with in-market and SiS demand planning teams.
- Holding distribution partners accountable to annual growth targets
- Owning weekly, monthly, quarterly & annual sales number.
- Leadership of your defined region across the SiS business ensuring you have the resource required to succeed, providing regular updates and being the category expert in that region.
- Travelling to your defined territory, visiting stores and meeting with in-market distribution partners.
- Collaborating brilliantly with SiS brand, innovation, supply, customer service & finance teams.
- Negotiating distribution agreements with in-market partners.
- Identifying and unlocking new strategic opportunities in your defined region.

Performance – how you will know you are doing a great job
- Delivering key P&L metrics such as revenue and profit.
- Growing market share of SiS brands in your defined territory.
- Improving forecast accuracy.
Specific metrics will be set when in role and will be reviewed and built upon regularly. Alongside this, you will be supported with a personal performance plan that will enable you to continue improving your own performance and impact.

- Demonstrable commercial experience operating across CGP/FMCG categories in the UK or international markets
- Experience selecting and managing international distribution partners
- Strategic focus on building brands in your defined territory
- Clear understanding of category management
- Strong reporting skills with the ability to disseminate data and articulate it clearly
- Ability to remain resilient within a dynamic & fast-paced business
