PhD Nutrition is a premium, active-nutrition brand for the active lifestyle community wanting intelligent nutrition to help them achieve their goals. With over 20 years of research and development, our products are designed to maximise performance in and out of the gym. It’s an exciting time for PhD Nutrition as 2025 will kick off an entirely new line up of brand ambassadors, from hybrid athletes to qualified sports nutritionists.
The two brands sell through the phd.com and scienceinsport.com digital platforms, third-party online marketplaces including Amazon, as well as extensive domestic and international retail distribution.
In 2022 the company opened a state of the art 160,000 square foot manufacturing and logistics facility in Blackburn, Lancashire. Providing a significant advantage in product costs and customer response time and most importantly, allowing Science In Sport to lead the way for quality standards.

In Sport is a Performance Solutions partner to globally recognised elite teams,
including Tottenham Hotspur, Saracens Rugby, British Triathlon, Aquatics GB,
British Cycling, England Netball and Loughborough Sports. As well as being the
Official Energy Gel Provider of RunThrough and the Official Nutrition Partner

The Role
The Amazon Executive plays a key role in the implementation of the Amazon business strategy & supports the Senior Amazon Account Manager in the delivery of the annual plans across the UK & Europe.

The work - Your 4 most important responsibilities
- Manage and optimise catalogue health as well as best-in-class content to ensure accurate product listings to maximise sales performance
- Work with internal team to manage inventory to ensure optimal stock levels, timely restocking, and efficient fulfillment to Amazon
- Perform analytical assessments of performance and market trends to identify opportunities, make data-driven decisions and improve commercial performance.
- Cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment and appropriate prioritization of Amazon objectives & requirements
Accountability – what you are responsible for delivering
- Catalogue health: Maintain & monitor catalogue health through regular "walk the store" checks & promptly address any required changes
- Catalogue expansion: Launch new products and ensure the adoption of best practices in the go-to-market strategy
- Content management: Ensure all products feature the appropriate content that follows Amazon's best practices and is optimised for best performance
- Liaising with Amazon: Attend weekly and quarterly AVS/QBR meetings and collaborate closely with Amazon Brand Specialists to drive growth
- Compliance excellence: Ensure product listings comply with Amazon’s guidelines to prevent product listing suppressions and charges
- Inventory management: Monitor stock levels & manage inventory to prevent excess stock or out of stock lines
- Stock forecasting: Submit a monthly forecast for the relevant regions and adjust based on sell-through data to guarantee supply chain efficiency
- Logistical efficiency: Collaborate with supply chain & customer service teams to ensure timely shipment and product availability in the different warehouses/Fulfilment Centres
- Analytical approach Create and update performance reports based on business requirements, ensuring alignment with key objectives
- Performance analysis Track key performance metrics, such as sales, Net Pure Product Profit and glance views & report the findings to the business
- Business development: Identify opportunities and risks based on performance metrics and seek areas for optimisation
- Market & competitor analysis: Monitor competitors’ activities, pricing, and product offerings, while conducting market research to understand customer preferences and industry trends
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure objectives and requirements are communicated effectively & measures are taken in a timely manner

- Good understanding of Microsoft package with a focus on data analysis and reporting

- Performance metrics improvement:
- Group revenue & profitability metrics as main priority
- Reduce catalogue defects, increase Subscribe & Save penetration & monitor pricing
- Conversion rate optimisation
- Forecast accuracy
Specific metrics will be set when in role and will be reviewed and built upon regularly. Alongside this, you will be supported with a personal performance plan that will enable you to continue improving your own performance and impact.
